Today’s instalment of meet the teams is our marketing assistant Joshua Cox – let’s find out more about him, his role, background, and interests!
So Matt what is your role at SMS?
I am a marketing assistant involved in every aspect of digital marketing.
What’s your background in marketing?
Originally, my experience came from my parent’s business background, from whom I learned how to market their business’s over time. From there I started working in a client-based marketing company, where I worked with a wide variety of different business’s.
When did you join the SMS team?
I have only been here since April of this year, so I am still relatively new.
Why did you choose SMS?
SMS gave me the ability and freedom to utilise and enhance my creativity when it comes to marketing. Plus being someone who is passionate about marketing in the digital space, joining a company offering such a great online tool for business owners was a no-brainer.
What do you enjoy about the work you do?
Being able to create content for a variety of people who might be searching for cloud solutions to help their business is one of the most rewarding things for me. I am extremely pleased when they discover us through one of our marketing campaigns as I have been able to help them on their business journey.
Why should a potential customer choose SMS?
The time I have spent here has shown me how much the SMS team values every customer and how much energy they put into making sure they find the best solution for the customers business needs, as well as having a smooth transition to their new solution, and having the best overall experience possible.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Any hobbies?
Football is an important aspect of my life, I used to be involved in football coaching however I now spend the majority of my free time watching various league’s from across the continent but since the pandemic its usually from the comfort of my home. I really enjoy keeping fit by playing squash as much as I can as well as most recently beginning marathon training. As I live by the coast, I also love being able to regularly take my cocker spaniel out for long beach walks.
